No Fair!
This show is hot all the way around. I wish I was at these shows. I've heard amazing things about this tour and I'm all green with envy. Another reason it's good to be older.

Comfiest venue ever A/K/A: Dead Meets UN
I was at this show. Smallest venue I ever attended at just over 3k. The architecture is serious post modern. This place was - bar none - the swankest place they ever played. Carpeted throughout, each seat at a big curved conference table with fold down padded seat, place for your briefcase and its own lamp. All this cloth made the sound just go out stop - no resonance.
I always felt like I was getting away with something at a show, but this topped it all. I think the band had the same idea. During the Scarlet I remember walking down the carpeted isle right up to the stage, which was raised only about a foot off the floor. Nobody was even standing in the aisle. I just looked right at the boys, & I walked back to the back (75'?) where I had been standing with some heads I met on the train. We all, including the band, were just laughing hysterically at the absurd craziness of it all. At the peak of GD nightmare popularity how could this be possible?
An absolutely killer show in one of the weirdest Deter 'Sprockets' settings ever. The sound on these boards smokes. The acoustics inside were fantastic & engineered to undoubtedly the highest standards for 1990. Sweet FMs circulate as well.
If it were not for the tapes I would wonder if it was ever there at all.

ScnitzelSweet is Right On
Great show! Red Rooster, not one of my usual favorites, is right on here. LTGTR, Shakedown, & a very respectable late era Scarlet>Fire.
One of the best in 90.

My one and only Live Dead Show
I am living in germany, fixed by The Dead since the Rockpalast Show in March 1981. Long years for waiting if they come around for an Europe Tour.
19.10.1990 was the greatest event I`ve ever seen on stage.
Let the good times roll forever.
thanks to archive.org for so many great Dead shows!!!

It Shook the Walls
A surprisingly good mix. Excellent sound. Not as good overall as 10-13, or 10-17 due to performance quirks. Phil still in his Aural-Exciter gutturally growly phase. Perfect. Screw the itty-bitty anomalies. This is a splendid recording of a splendid show. Good, right from the get-go. Another IMA find!

rocking in berlin
Great show, great venue, I feel lucky to have seen 8 shows in the Europe '90 tour. The Berlin ICC was a 4000 person venue, much smaller than anyplace I'd ever seen the band.
The show ... nice setlist, good playing, although Jerry was flubbing lyrics all over the place.

wow!
I agreed to go to university in Munich, Germany to see this tour. Many people don't know that these shows were broadcast live on the radio. I can't tell you how special it was to have the Dead going out over the radio across Berlin...of all places! The ICC was a tiny place, with perfect acoustics, and stuffed seats. Berlin had just reunited, and there was a special vibe in the air for sure. The highlight of the show for me was listing to the mix you are listening to AS IT WAS BEING RECORDED! I sat behind Healy on this night and he handed me the headphones for about a minute during Rooster. (The soundboard backs right up to the seating at the ICC) I had spoken to him before, but never expected that! Get this show and 10/20...Dark star>drums/space>Dark Star...out over a Free Berlin...need I say more?

Berlin '90 was Good
This show rocks HARD. Shakedown is played with so much energy, then the BE Women, Memphis BLues, Deal set closer, Scarlet->Fire Opener, Terrapin, TOO, Wharf Rat, Sugar Mag closer???? C'mon! All in sweet digital soundboard clarity. This and the next night are excellent shows. The Berlin '90 run was most excellent.
I gotta say that Bruce was the best addition to the band that could have ever happend after Brent's untimely passing. Out of the ashes rises the phoenix.

Berlin 1990
What a pair of great shows! This one is in the top ten for 1990. 10/28 is very comparable to this one. Both shows were highlights of the Europe 1990 Tour. Download and enjoy!
